NAGLY Library Open to Entire Community
Thursdays, 5:00-7:00 PM
NAGLY Salem
In light of recent events, we have opened the NAGLY Library to our community regardless of age. Historically, libraries have been institutions of shared knowledge, community building and support, and even a form of resistance. In that spirit, we would like to open our doors to all members of the public once a week on Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 PM. We invite you to use our space as a place of respite, a place of learning, and even a place of action.
Our library currently boasts a little over 2,000 books, most of which are written by LGBTQIA+ authors or are about the LGBTQIA+ community. This includes fiction and non-fiction, as well as a number of rare out-of-print LGBTQIA+ titles. Our library is a valuable resource for educators, politicians, mental health providers, parents, and caregivers. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition to our books, we also have several computers (both Mac and Windows) and free secure internet for you to use. We have a printer that can be utilized for small printing needs. And we have tables and chairs in the library, both for comfort and for utility. Our librarian will be on staff for your needs.
